“To Succeed, You Must Read!”
Silver bullet alert? Children who struggle to read more often drop out of school, live in poverty, interact with the criminal justice system, and have a decreased life expectancy in comparison to their same-aged, more literate peers. If reading proficiency predictably impacts quality of life, then shouldn’t we ask ourselves: How do we support communities of children to read for a better future?
Join us on Monday - with your young men in tow - as we hear how a former Georgia grown, superstar athlete discovered his love for reading and turned the life lessons learned into a movement, a livelihood, and a touchdown for all.
