Started by her grandfather in 1937 then run by her Dad, the company had been sold off and then fell on hard times. Stephanie Stuckey had a lifetime of friends telling her nostalgic stories of their own visits to and family yarns about the company that bore her name, so in 2020 she took her life savings and bought what remained of the company. Like so many older companies – large or small – she had to reimagine and revitalize a company with a lot of debt, a worn-out business model, diminishing assets but a great brand. She had to tackle everything and figure out how to make it work for our age: inventory, supply chain, manufacturing, sales, partners, you name it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
