Atlanta Rotary Podcast: Dr. William Foege


Dr. William Foege is credited with devising and leading the effort to eradicate small pox, which had caused the death of more than 300 million people. His approach termed “house on fire” also became the basis for the Rotary efforts to eradicate polio. He is THE icon of global health, and is recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor bestowed on a citizen by our country.
