Forget the gym - time to work out for the cause. Join the fight to end hunger with a session of food sorting at our Atlanta warehouse. As a Product Rescue Center volunteer, you'll sort, organize and pack recently donated food and personal care products for distribution to over 600 local partner agencies. The personal reward of making a difference can't be replaced.

  • Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes are always required, with sneakers or work boots recommended. Unfortunately, any volunteer wearing shoes that do not completely cover the foot will not be allowed to participate.

  • Age Requirement: The Product Rescue Center (PRC) can only allow volunteers age 8 and older to participate. Adult chaperones are always required. The chaperone ratio is: 1 adult per every 4 children (age 8 -13) and 1 adult per every 8 youth (age 14-17).

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the shift start time.

  • Upon arrival into the main entrance (look for the big high sign with our orange peach logo), the parking lot will be to your left (on slight hill). After exiting your vehicle, look left for the fence covered walkway (affectionately known as “the cage”) with the Product Rescue Center Volunteers sign. Follow the fenced walkway to the PRC door.

  • Food Rules: Donated food and product cannot be consumed or removed from the facility. And, we know it is hard, but this rule does apply to all chocolate product as well! Bottled water is provided during the shift and volunteers are welcome to bring light snacks with them. A vending machine is also located in the PRC Orientation Room.
